www.gmap-friends.com visually displays google contacts on google maps. This service uses google's public javascript apis to securely display your contacts.Privacy and Security
This site does not retain, send, or save any information about your contacts. I have absolutely no interest in your contacts, just in visitors clicking on advertisements.Support and Coming Features
This site has been tested on Firefox 3.01 and Safari 3.2.1 and 4. If it is loading too slowly or doesn't work, be sure to enable JavaScript or try using Google Maps. There will be updates and bug fixes as they are finished. The following items are currently in work, but in the meantime, contacts can be updated through gmail.- bug: error 620 from google, too many requests at one time during initialization
- bug: multiple updates to an entry doesn't seem stable...
- use contact photos as map markers
- add support for multipe email addresses/phone numbers/addresses
- importing/exporting of entries (for now, use http://www.google.com/contacts)
- fixes for improved speed and compatibility
